Have you been Here…?
The Opportunity
What if you could heal instantly? Would that allure you – into a new way of thinking?
Your soul wants to go there, as its desire is to grow. Continually “recreate yourself anew in each Golden Moment of Now in the next grandest version of the greatest vision ever you held about Who You Are,” we’re invited into in Conversations with God.
How do we do this, here now, with our “physical” bodies?

I was playing golf with my husband, Jim, and a young, strong man from the military. Jim remarked how I was playing “beyond [my] ability,” driving the ball 270 yards, for example. For you non-golfers, Jim said that is almost 3 football fields, as the standard playing portion of a football field is 100 yards. Wow, that felt good! And it was easy.
My chosen “word” for the day, as we explored in the blog post BE2DOIT, was “miraculous.” Jim did not know this, as I prefer to keep my word choices private. Except for telling all of you here . This is for sharing – and so you can create these experiences in your own life, should you choose.
Suddenly, I threw my back out after a particularly powerful shot. We were walking the course and I had to stop playing.
Went home and the next morning was breathless with pain. I could only drag myself out of bed to use the restroom, feeling ancient.
My folks were concerned about me, and began checking in on me, as did Jim.
I did all the physical things – “RICE” (rest, ice, etc.).
Had I broken a bone in my back? Could this really have happened after I was feeling so strong?
Jim assured me I’d know if it were broken, as this excruciating pain would feel paralyzing. Thank you. That was comforting .
Two days later, my word for the day was “healer.” I decided to take a walk, if I could. Do a “walking meditation” I’d practiced before this “accident.”
I felt the powerful words of the meditation as I walked: “healer” being my guide throughout.
That afternoon I was back to how I’d felt before playing golf two days earlier.
My Dad asked how I had made such a “miraculous” recovery. I smiled and told him I was working on the mind-body-spirit possibilities, which he knew.
We all could see the possibilities.
In hindsight, it was a blessing – as all of life’s moments are when we see them with new eyes.
You want to heal anything quickly or help a loved one? Discover more of your unlimited potential?
If you’re anything like me, you may have heard the phrase “your body is a temple” and pooh-poohed it. What if you heard from a credible source, “You really have no idea your potential when you make your body a temple.” Might that open something for you…?
The Practice
1. CHECK. Check in with the truth of your body and how you are treating it.
For example, Neale Donald Walsh suggested in Conversations with God, Book 1 Guidebook to keep a record for a week of everything you do concerning your body. “Beneficial” things? (Eating well, working out, etc.) – put a “B” by them. “Non-beneficial” things (skipping workouts, junk food bingeing) – put an “NB” by their side. I kept this note on my phone so there was no excuse not to do it.
Is there any recurring “addictive” problem you perceive? Food? Alcohol? Sugar? Other?
While a group of us was sitting with Neale at his “Homecoming” event in Ashland, Oregon, he shared with us a series of questions you may ask someone who has an addiction of any kind they want to heal. Again, it could be sugar – anything they would rather be a “preference” versus an addiction. Or, in some cases, they may not want this in their life at all.
Give yourself the gift of reflection by asking yourself these questions now. We’ll use alcohol for ease here. But your indulgence may be chocolate or… I dare you to not learn – or remember – anything about yourself in doing this.
Questions from Neale:
- What do you really want with regard to your dependency on alcohol?
- How do you feel when you drink?
- How have you felt 4 days without a drink? How do you think you’d feel?
- How do you want to feel?
- Is it your thought you have no control over this behavior?
- Who do you think you are: a spiritual and physical being or just physical? In what way does your present addictive behavior support this?
- Your “raison d’etre” – reason for being: what is it? Bring that image up every time you reach for the glass and ask, “What does that have to do with the agenda of my soul?”
As we’ve explored, the agenda of your soul is to “recreate yourself anew in each Golden Moment of Now…”
2. KNOW. You are a “healer” and can – and are meant to – heal yourself. As Conversations with God says, “Healers…know that you are meant to be whole, complete, and perfect in this moment now. This knowingness is also a thought – a very powerful one. It has the power to move mountains – to say nothing of molecules in your body.”
Whether you believe a healer is “she who heals” or someone with “special powers” or, ultimately, someone who simply gives “life to life” – which I love – when you start seeing yourself this way, magic can unfold.
3. GROW. Your soul craves it. Neale includes a “Consciousness Quiz” in the Guidebook, which is illuminating.
The upshot is: Do you feel your consciousness is capable of instantly healing any injury or condition which could arise?
Once I tied elevating my consciousness with treating my body even better, everything changed. I started seeing with new eyes.
Craving became choices: consciousness or…? Even if it meant feeling that little more connected and clearer because I’d decided to drink a green smoothie instead of eating a gluten sandwich .
I’m not perfect at it, by any means. But I’m on the path. I’ve seen the power of this and feel inspired to see where my consciousness can take me next.
You?
